WhatsApp crash: It is impossible to send messages to millions of users

Since this morning, WhatsApp has become unresponsive to millions of users around the world. Reports multiplied within a few seconds, as messages poured into Twitter. For now, this outage appears to be global.

At around 9:30 AM, the app completely stopped responding to millions of users. It became impossible to send and receive messages. Surprisingly, the holidays don’t seem to be the same for everyone. Some of them cannot send messages at all, and some find a problem only in group conversations.

One thing is for sure, the outage seems to be global. On DownDetector, testimonials are pouring in from all countries, while on Twitter, users have put #WhatsApp on global trends in just a few minutes. In all likelihood, there will be a problem connecting to the Meta servers, although Mark’s group has not yet communicated about this.

WhatsApp is experiencing a major global outage

Some people have been disconnected from their accounts and have not been able to access them since this morning. So, for now, they are waiting for things to get back to normal, because all other procedures, like restarting their phones, have failed. In theory, this should not take more than a few hours.
