 The Year of the Rat has authoritatively started and Google is praising the beginning of the lunar new year with a lovable doodle of an animation rat. A NASA space explorer even snapped a staggering photograph of Beijing from space.

Today (Jan. 25) denotes the beginning of another lunar year, which depends on the periods of the moon on its month to month trip around the Earth and not the Gregorian schedule that starts on Jan. 1. The new moon of January 2020 happened on Friday (Jan. 24).
