The city hall leader of Salem, Mass., revealed to President Trump to "get familiar with some history" after he affirmed that individuals charged in the Salem witch preliminaries were given more fair treatment than he has gotten in the Democrats' indictment request.

City hall leader Kim Driscoll (D) in a tweet Tuesday incorporated a screen capture of a letter from Trump to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in which the president censured the arraignment request and made the case about the Salem witch preliminaries.

Trump wrote in his letter to Pelosi that "increasingly fair treatment was stood to those blamed in the Salem Witch Trials." The president's letter came one day in front of a normal House vote to arraign Trump over his dealings with Ukraine.
